Our Story

It all started back in 2010 on a hot summers day when I tagged along to work with my mom at the Trinity River Audubon Center in Dallas, TX. We were spreading homemade clay seed balls(just seeds and clay mashed together into the size of marbles) in an attempt to bring back native grasses and flowers to the baron landscape. Our hands were covered in red clay and the occasional straggling seeds. Spreading seeds, while fun, isn’t all that glamorous and even though I was having a blast, it was apparent not everyone else was as enthused. There had to be a better way to get kids my age involved and motivated…

Party poppers are a happy medium, combining the celebratory joys of launching seeds with the do-good/pround feeling of creating a garden. I strived to combine the safe, spring loaded poppers(not the firework kind) with wildflower seeds and boom!(no pun intended) There now exists a fun and exciting mechanism to evenly spread wildflower seeds. I hope to color the world with the natural beauty of wildflowers, spread a little joy and support thriving ecosystems one pop and smile at a time.

I’m a mechanical engineer working in the aerospace industry at the forefront of electric aviation. With decarbonization in mind, I’m always tinkering with countless projects running in parallel. I’m currently converting my car and motorcycle into electric vehicles and hoping to convert manicured lawns into no-mow wildflower meadows with WFP! You’ll find me in the garage, or outdoors hiking, running, sailing, biking, skiing, exploring, flying etc!
